The Next Attorney General (maybe)
According to the Washington Post, President Bush is poised to make public his nomination of who he wishes to replace Alberto Gonzalez as the head of the Justice Department. See below for a brief bio and stay tuned for a response from the Democrats. We have to see if they warm up to Mr. Mukasey and confirm him.

A Dunlap Broadside is only one of 24 surviving copies of the first printing of the Declaration of Independence, done by John Dunlap on July 4, 1776.
There were origanally 25 copies of the dunlap broadsides.
Dulap BroadsThe Dunlap Broadsides are the first 200 copies of the Declaration of Independence, printed on the night of July 4, 1776, by John Dunlap of Philadelphia.
As of 1989, only 24 copies of the Dunlap broadside were known to exist, until a flea market shopper bought a framed painting for four dollars. While inspecting a tear in the lining behind the painting, the owner discovered a folded Dunlap broadside.
This 25th copy of the Dunlap broadside was authenticated by Sotheby's and an independent expert. In June 2000, Norman Lear partnered with David Hayden to purchase the document at an online Sotheby's auction. They paid $8.14 million. Since then Lear has toured the document around the United States with the Independence Road Trip and Declare Yourself.
Of the 25 surviving copies of the Dunlap broadside, 21 copies belong to universities (Harvard University, Princeton University, Yale University, the University of Virginia, and Indiana University), historical societies, museums (e.g. American Independence Museum), public libraries and city halls. The remaining four are in private hands, although promised to public collections.

Mr. Thompson
Well since i didnt get on here fast enough to win the ec, I figured i might as well comment on the biography itself.
Although I am unsure of what exactly it is that an attorney general does from day to day, I thought that the biography detailed a broad range (as well as very impressive) background. From his education to his occupations, he seemed to be a well rounded character. However, that is only his professional side. I wonder what would happen if we dug deeper?
However my real question is, have the democrats warmed up to him yet?

Yay, I win twice...here's another response 4 ya That was funny
So does someone want to explain to an uneducated katie exactly what an attourney general does? The biography is pretty interesting though!
Katie: Top law enforcer in the United States as chief of the Department of Justice. Congress makes laws, Supremes decide constitutionality, and Executive enforces - mainly through the Attorney General who oversees US Attorneys who coordinate federal prosecution. If they're federal and have a badge, the AG is the boss.
