Been absent? Check the list below.

1. Argument Essay Process. Each students needs to write the essay, examine the rubric, study the samples, and evaluate two other student essays from class. Here's a guide.

2. "Why Man Creates." Watch the video and for any TWO of the seven segments, create a Toulmin diagram breaking down the claim, data, warrant, backing, and potential qualifier. If you need help, I'll go through the first one with you.

Chapter three in the Language of Composition introduces the final essay series for the AP Language test - the Synthesis. We're going to discuss chapter three, so please have it read for class, including: Offer a specific example of what it means to enter the conversation, what is meant by recognizing complexity, and informing rather than overwhelming.
