Currently I have my cover letter and resume ready to go. I am just waiting for Virginia Gentiles to leave office. She is the Special Assistant in the Office of Innovation and Improvment working under Deborah Price the Assistant Deputy in the Office of Safe and Drug Free Schools in the Department of Education. The downside to the position is I would be working out of Washington DC and while my starting salary would only be $95,390, I could work my way up to about $125,000 on the General Schedule. The upside is I will be the Special Assistant to the Assistant Deputy of the Deputy Secretary under the Secretary of Education of the United States government.
