Biblical
My father reviews Bible translations and editions professionally. Although the journal he works for (Bible Editions and Translations) isn't published online, someone uploaded one of his reviews here. It's down a little ways. . .Notice how clearly he defines that standard against which he is evaluating the work (it's in bold).

Wow! Thank you mr. decker! I just read a large portion of the
Bible translation link and I found it extreamly interesting! In every form of literature fiction and non-fiction you find criticism! This link came close to home in refrencing church doctrine, one of the main reasons for the great struggle between different branches of christianity is the ability to agreee on interpretation of translation. This little piece can give someone who doesnt know alot about the Bible an intresting and objective view into how some translations can be judged. Very cool.
